CUPID’S EYE

Love is strange. Sometimes it hits you out of nowhere, when you’re not looking for it, and in people or places you never expected. There’s the feeling—that spark you can’t explain—but there’s also the choice to keep showing up, to be open, to let it grow. Cupid’s Eye is about that moment of recognition, when something in you sees something in someone else and it just clicks. It’s not always neat or logical, but that’s the beauty of it. Love surprises us, and then asks us to choose it—over and over again.

CUPID’S EYE

I painted this after spending time in cafés, just observing. I’d be there to read or work, but I’d catch myself watching couples and wondering—how did they meet? Was it random, or was it all the little choices in their lives that led them to that moment? I’ve always been curious about that. Cupid’s Eye is about those quiet thoughts, and the magic of how people find each other—whether by chance or something bigger.
